Jutrion Eco7 Series Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB)

The main function of an RCCB is leakage current protection. When leakage occurs in wires, electrical appliances, or equipment, the RCCB detects the current imbalance between the live wire and the neutral wire and quickly disconnects the power supply. It is suitable for 220V 2P and 415V 4P, 50/60Hz AC circuits.

Jutrion Eco7 Series RCCB Product Features

  1. Common rated residual operating currents include IΔn = 30mA for personal protection, 100mA, and 300mA for fire protection. It can detect dangerous micro-leakage currents, providing high sensitivity.

  2. When leakage occurs, the RCCB trips quickly and disconnects the circuit within a very short time, with a tripping response time of ≤25–40ms.

  3. Rated current options include 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A, 63A, 80A, and 100A. Pole configurations such as 1P+N and 3P+N are available, allowing users to select product parameters according to different application scenarios.

  4. Standard 35mm DIN rail installation is supported. Available in 2P for single-phase systems and 4P for three-phase systems. The product is compact and easy to replace.

  5. The housing is made of UL94 V-0 flame-retardant material, with 750°C glow-wire resistance and high CTI performance for better resistance to leakage tracking.

Jutrion Eco7 Series RCCB Application Scenarios

  1. Residential distribution boards: Protect household sockets, lighting, and electrical appliances from leakage current and electric shock risks.

  2. Commercial buildings: Suitable for offices, shopping malls, hotels, and other crowded places that require leakage current protection.

  3. Industrial power distribution: Prevent electric shock when equipment housings or wiring insulation ages and causes leakage.

  4. Temporary construction power: Suitable for complex construction site environments where cables are easily damaged and leakage risks are high.

  5. Pumps and motor equipment: Long-term operation may cause insulation aging and possible leakage, so RCCB protection is required.

Note:

An RCCB only provides leakage current protection. It does not protect against overload or short circuit. It must be used together with an additional MCB or MCCB and cannot be used alone as the main switch. This increases the cost of accessories and installation.

Will an RCCB trip when there is no leakage current?

Yes. If the circuit is long, the cable may produce capacitive leakage current to ground, which can cause nuisance tripping during normal operation.

What does 30mA mean on an RCCB?

30mA is the rated residual operating current and is commonly used for personal electric shock protection. When the leakage current reaches this value, the RCCB will trip and disconnect the circuit.
